Major hotel deal in Stockholm
Pangea exclusive sell-side adviser to Strawberry/Stordalen on the largest hotel transaction in Stockholm since 2015.
A few weeks ago, it was announced that Strawberry Forever sells Clarion Hotel Amaranten in Stockholm City Centre at SEK 1.5bn (EUR 145m) in a pan-Nordic transaction. The price paid makes this the largest single hotel transaction in Stockholm and Sweden since the transaction of Radisson Blu Waterfront Hotel back in 2015.
The 19,000 sqm hotel has 461 rooms and Nordic Choice Hotels continues as tenant. The buyer is Nordic real estate investor NREP. This transaction crosses most of the borders in Scandinavia, with a Norwegian seller, a Swedish asset and a Nordic buyer.
Clarion Hotel Amaranten is located in the vibrant Kungsholmen district, surrounded by water and pedestrian streets, just 8 minutes’ walk from the central station. This unique boutique hotel has a 60s-inspired design, great dining options, bar, gym and relaxation area. The hotel also has a meeting and conference center with all facilities.
