Ikano buys elderly care

Last week, it was announced that Ikano Fastigheter (part of the Ikea group) establishes a new business area and acquires two elderly care properties in Uppsala. The first property was built in 2015 and is fully let to Frösunda Omsorg. The other property is currently under construction and will be fully let to Aleris and Kids2Home.

The properties were acquired in two separate transactions from Senectus and Svenska Vårdfastigheter respectively. Pangea Property Partners was as sell-side adviser in both transactions. So far, we have advised on some 70 transactions with an underlying property value above €11bn in 2015/2016.
